SAS & Panorama…

Friday, September 4th, 2009

Check out this Monday’s Panorama (7th Sept, BBC 1 @ 8.30pm) - looking at bathing water quality around the UK and what the latest is. Great stuff from Andy across the road at SAS telling it how it should be (looking quite slick in a special wetsuit), also why we need to keep supporting these trenchmen…

Looks like less rain for the weekend and a little less wind - have a good one. We’re all dusting off the belly boards for the World Belly Board Champs on Sunday. Only comp that I’m still in the Junior category (<60 yrs) - you can still enter on the site if you’re keen - classic day (worldbellyboarding.co.uk)… TK

Cornish Coastline… via foot

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

Sam and Will Boex, have been close friends of ours since the beginning. Nothing forced, just one of those relationships that evolves naturally. They’ve done some work for us in the past - through their 3D Design company Boex (http://www.boex.co.uk/) and we’ve been in touch ever since.

Sam and lady friend Imogen, just recently decided to walk the Cornish Coastline, 15 days, 18 miles a day, more ascents then descents, 23 combined blisters and more than half of the trip in the wet.

Starting from their backyard of Porthleven and finishing in Bude, they had to come through Aggie and on a rainy, cold afternoon, Sam and Imogen quietly walked through the door, wind swept and tired. They had a seat in the office, enjoyed a warm cup of tea and filled us in on the journey thus far - spear fishing, quiet coves and the psychology of team dynamics.

Aggie became a second home, both feeling fairly exhausted and Imogens feet in dire need of some attention, they camped out and let the healing process begin. Over the two day pitstop, they enjoyed a couple of warm showers and a couple of beers in Ernie’s caravan before stalking up with provisions and setting off.

All we asked of them was to finish and send some pictures through, when they reached the other side. We were stoked to here from Sam and Imogen a couple of days back, saying that the journey had been accomplished and images below were captured. Nice to know that our product and a little shelter could be a part of the journey. Congratulations and loads of love you guys, looking forward to blowing the doors open at Wills wedding next month!

Carlos Wrap Up

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

We got the skype phone call last week, Carlos and Ligia in San Paulo, both very happy and Ligia with the bump in the belly.

Carlos and Ligia got hitched earlier this year and since then, the two have been busy honeymooning, covering the big wave circuit and making babies.

He sent us a print out of the ultrasound and apparently it’s a boy!! They’re naming him Reno Kai and if he’s anything like his father, he’ll be walking out with a board in hand.

Beauty to be a part of it all Carlos and so super stoked for you and Ligia. If Reno Kai plays his cards right, we may just have a place for him on our Ambassador roster…

He’s from the mountains…

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

A good friend, Martin, from Austria has been staying with us here in Aggie this past week. We’ve been dodging the wind and getting as much time in the sea as possible, which he’s been loving. He’s more often found backcountry in the mountains, picking some unbelievable lines on his skis. When you have a few minutes, sit back and watch this, it’ll fire you up. TK.
