Noted as one of the best fusions in skate and poetry film making, The Strongest of the Strange, features iconic skater Scott Bourne, pulling off some of the most excellent of tricks with a poetry reading from the late Charles Bukowski.
Puts a spin on the morning, if you’ve got 6mins, get the headphones on and take a peak!
Most of you know Mart, he the jacko of the many trades throughout the office. He sorts out renewable energy sources when he’s not web editing, whilst making tea with his toes. When he’s not in the office, he’s under the sea taking down Billy Bass.
Below is some of his most recent adventures on the Isle of Wight, with a little Ernest Gonzales (http://www.antipop.net/expblog/) spinning in the background - sick
Honolulu, Hawaii - Surfers from around the world gathered yesterday in Waikiki to remember the greatest waterman of all time: Duke Paoa Kahanamoku, born August 24, 1890.
While a single Olympic gold medal is enough to substantiate many an athlete’s life, Kahanamoku won six, three gold for swimming, two silver for swimming, and a bronze for water polo. Yet today he is most widely renowned for being the father of modern day surfing.
During his 77 years on Earth, Duke rolled 10 lifetimes of accomplishments into one to emerge as Hawaii’s most famous native son after King Kamehameha the Great: An Olympic career that spanned an incredible 21 years; esteemed outrigger canoe steersman; Hollywood actor; bodysurfer; Sheriff of Honolulu; diver; official State of Hawaii Ambassador of Aloha; sailor; and surfer of all surfers.
We reckon a birthday cupcake and a cruisy little wave in the big mans direction is solid shout.

The seal at Lundy was us in the bay, 2m of water, with some very playful seals, there is video of me being chewed by a seal!! This fella was a little more shy but as he came towards me I got a realy good couple of face on shots, after this type of encounter you leave the water with a really big smile!!
Snorkelling with the humpback calf was at the end of a week whale safari watching humpback whales in the Silver Banks, the real plus is to get in the water to observe mother and calf, the group is small and well controlled. The baby comes up every 3 minutes to breathe then back down to sit under mum’s pec fin. This calf we had seen on 2 days and when not resting was a real show off continually breeching.
Hope that is ok, Finisterre sleeveless jacket fleece used on the boat trip out to Lundy.
And with the email above, came the shots below - cheers for sharing Dave and Liz!
