This year Finisterre and a handful of St Agnes locals will be hosting Aggityville, a haunted coastal walk, sponsored by Skinner’s Brewery, with all proceeds going to Children’s Hospice South West’s Precious Lives Appeal, to build a hospice in Cornwall. The Haunted Coastal Walk begins at The Taphouse and will be ending up in The Driftwood Spars. It will involve some scary shenanigans and spooky scenarios, with more than a few frights!
How it works:
Starting at 7:30pm, groups of ten will be shuttled from the Taphouse to the beginning of the Aggityville Haunted Coastal Walk, from there, the groups will walk along the coastal path meeting a series of spooky sites and ending in The Driftwood Spars.
If you want to take part:
Sign-up is in The Taphouse or Driftwood Spars, anytime from now until the 31st of October, cost per person is £3.00 and this will include a free pint of Skinner’s Ale, to be enjoyed at the Taphouse before or after the Haunted Walk in the Driftwood. There are limited spaces and they’re filling up fast, so be sure to sign-up quickly. All proceeds will be going to Children’s Hospice South West’s Precious Lives Appeal.
The first group will start at 7.30pm and the Forest will close at 9.30pm. The walk itself will last around 20 minutes per group …should you make it to the other side!…

Two designers, a purple VW Polo, some blankets, pillows and a mission - to document a little trip that’s been in the making for a few years now. We can’t reveal too much information, but we did want to let you all in on some magical moments from the trip. - Images of the UK in all her glory and a brief testament to our aspirations of bringing everything we do back home.

When it comes to surf competitions, you’re in the lap of the god’s. Generally speaking, weather is a miss, surf is shy better than a ripple and by the end of two days of surfing, judging and tabulating scores, the crowds are ready to go home.
This year, the Buntabout had it’s biggest turnout in 29 years of running the event, surf was pumping, the sun was shining and nearly 2000 pounds was raised for Children’s Hospice South West’s Precious Lives Appeal, geared towards building a hospice in Cornwall.
It was an emotional event, with the many generations of Aggie families competing; fathers, mothers, daughters, sons and a boat load of pride. We were stoked to sponsor the event and to be a part of a little Aggie tradition.

TP and Debs went down on the farm in Devon where we are developing our very own sheep breed. Learning the complexities of animal husbandry, including how to artificially inseminate a ewe, and why some breeds make bad mothers but formidable lovers! TP got to drive the tractor and we were reaquainted with many of the famer’s favourite’s livestock. We are all set to return for shearing and lambing in the new year and to see if our ram - Pickle has managed to change his view!…..

This past week our merino samples landed, what ensued was a flurry of phone calls trying to organize a couple of faces to sit behind the camera, a few offerings to the rain god for the weekend and a good end result.
Tom Savage aka TS, was the man behind the lens, directing models, holding court and picking the shots. In the end he produced brilliant images, magazine editors were happy, product looks solid and boys and girls were stoked.
Cheers for the big effort guys and girls - result.
Merino’s will be in this Wednesday and we’re already running low on specific sizes and colors. To pre-order yours, contact us anytime on 01872 554481

Surfstock happened a little over a month ago, thousands of people from all over the UK made the pilgrimage, they saw some bands strut their stuff, there were themed tents in which much lewd and lascivious behaviour took place and the rest… well, we’ll leave that at Surfstock.
Amongst the hedonistic happenings was the Surfstock Industry Awards, which focused on companies within the surf industry that have made outstanding contributions to surfing in the British Isles. People were asked to vote online over a weeks period and in the end we were humbly surprised to have been selected as this years winner and in close second, Surfers Against Sewage. We shared the award with boys across the way and with it came a drop of 72 pints of beer, from Cornwall’s own, Skinner’s Brewery.
As always, super stoked to receive the votes and award!
