Fabric | Windproof & water resistant
 | Fast drying & breathable |
Durable 100% recycled/recyclable ripstop outer shell | Primaloft Eco® synthetic insulation fill (160g/m2 body, 130g/m2 sleeves & hood) | We’re no strangers to rain in the UK - Synthetic fill retains 75% of its warmth when wet, whereas down fill only retains 15% of its warmth when wet.
Aftercare |
We recommend cleaning at 30°C with a gentle non-detergent. Cleaning will re-activate the durable water repellent finish on the fabric. When rain ceases to bead on the fabric it¹s a sign that water repellence is fading and cleaning/re-proofing is required.
Drip-dry only. Do not use fabric conditioner, bleach or dry-clean.

Our A/W 11 insulation is made in China, with full transparency to the highest quality and ethical requirements. The Far East remains the beacon of recycled polyester innovation, through our localisation program, our goal is to bring the sourcing of fabrics, components and manufacture all closer together - all part of our traceability programme i-Spy.

Very warm and lightweight
Review by Jan
Just after I bought this jacket we had some snow, so got to try it out while walking my dog. Brilliant coat, nice and light so didnt feel bogged down with heavy clothing and very warm with just a thin layer underneath, too warm at times which did shock me as it is so light.
Will be coming on all my camping and hiking trips from now on as I hate being cold.
Excellent product and service from finisterre thanks guys x
brilliant all round jacket
Review by Kate Louise Mooney
bought this after my dad raved about his jacket and he was right to! so lightweight but warmer than any other coat I own! The best thing to put on after a surf when you need to warm up fast! The foldable hood is a great feature too. all round best coat I will ever own for any weather!
Warm, light, well put together

Bought this jacket at your recent Polzeath 'event'. It is warm, light and well made. I was amzed how warm it is considering how light it is. Great to get on after a surf especially when it is cold and horizontal rain, or beforehand to double check it's worth suiting up!
Amazing Jacket
Review by Giles
Be it hiking up a moor or commuting on the dingiest of days this jacket has alway kept me warm and dry. Fantastic weight to warmth ratio and can be easily stashed into a bag if needs be. Very useful pockets, which are easy to reach and open!

I've worn this jacket on a number of occasions below 0 degrees with just a tshirt underneath.

Overall a fantastic jacket that is well worth the price!

Awesome do everything jacket
Review by DougN
I've had this jacket for 6mths now, and it's simply the best jacket i'be owned. Being snug and insulated, you can get away with wearing a t-shirt underneath in winter, so no stripping off lots of layers when you go from stomping around in the cold, to a cosy pub.
The foldable hood, which isn't made much of in the description is great too, as it makes it easy to wear under a shell outerlayer when skiing back country.
It's light, durable, and very packable.
Highly recommended!
Warmest and lightest jacket ever
Review by JP
Had my Sastruga for over a year, love it! Climbed Mt Toubkal in Morocco last year and was the perfect jacket. Only ever need a t-shirt underneath in the winter in the UK. Doubles up as a good pillow when camping. The zip is sicking a little but I've been wearing the jacket almost every day., so can't really complain about that.
Keep up the good work. All Finisterre kit to top notch!
The best ever

This is the best Insulator you can ever buy. Here in Brittany the weather can get Rough but this one keeps me dry and warm in the search for empty peaks and hiking trails. SO STOKED.
Excellent UK product
Review by Chris
I have the Mk II jacket which I picked up in Cunninghams in Ambleside. As soon as I tried the jacket on I was sold! As well as living in North Wales and spending time on the hill I have an energetic Springer Spaniel who demands to be walked three times a day so a well fitting warm and even water proof jacket is a must. I have owned other UK outdoor brand primaloft jackets but they seem cut for a bulkier build than me, this is one of the only tops that actually fit me therefore works perfectly. The material is also amazingly waterproof even after 6 months of abuse. The attention to detail is also excellent and feels custom made. Well recommended!
