Warm, light, great value and great fit/looks
Review by chi11i - I've been wearing a v3 for about 18 months. Been through a lot. From everyday commuting to mountain tops and everything between. It is – as everyone says – extremely light. When you first pick it up you think it's never going to keep you warm, when it really really does. My only mark down is on performance for it's wear and tear. Some of the stitching came undone pretty fast and I got a campfire burn-hole in the sleeve dead fast. But you know, I think I paid around £100, and I've worn it consistently. To the point where it has virtually no water resistance anymore. You can't argue with the service from Finisterre. I know if I wanted it repaired it would be done, but I'm just not going to send it back for that. If you want an extremely warm, lightweight jacket that can take some proper temperature abuse – just buy one.

Fantasic jacket
Review by Maryjane - Bought this in blue for my son for Christmas and it far exceeded what we both expected - not as shiny as it appears on website and gorgeous soft, light feel with no bulkiness. He declared it very cosy and excellent fit. Would recommend to anyone wanting a compact but very warm outdoor jacket.

Fantastic jacket
Review by George -
Love the style of this jacket, the collar is a great height for both function and looks. The jacket comes up very fitted but doesn't limit movement at all so is ideal. Is incredible how non-puffy and light this jacket is while keeping you perfectly warm! The red is a great colour also. Very happy with this product and the service at finisterre is second to none, so friendly and helpful!

Great jacket but no hard wearing
Review by Sleevesy -
Comes up a little smaller than you might imagine (a medium for a 5'9", 39" chest, 31" waist was like being in a straight-jacket).
It's beautiful, ridiculously light (no, it really is) and damn warm. Simple and effective.
BUT... it really isn't hard wearing. I caught the jacket within 5 mins on a small sharp object and instead of catching and stopping, it just tore like butter through the outer shell.
Looking forward to the repair, but the turnaround time on repairing seems to be pretty slow.
However, the service is entirely friendly and attempts to solve any problems you may have.
I look forward to seeing how the jacket behaves in the longterm given its lightweight nature.

Great product

I am extremely happy with this purchase. High quality finish, extremely light-weight, very snug fit on my XL frame. Very happy with my purchase and wearing it everyday.
Two suggestions - provide phonetic guidance on the pronunciation and add zips to the external pockets. -
Great jacket...........but....
Review by mark - Great jacket, beautifully cut to follow the contours of the body, light as a feather and surprisingly warm and windproof considering how modestly proportioned the loft of the insulation is....any gripes? Not really, but if I was being really pedantic I would say that it would be great for it to inherit the exterior chest zip pocket from the Sastruga and on a really anally retentive tip, I would reduce the armhole size by a centimetre or 2..... brilliant jacket, but oh how I wished and waited till yesterday to buy it at half the price I paid for it in your 'Flash' sale.....grrrr!

Lovely jacket, but not hard wearing
Review by Morph - As everyone says, very warm, very light and it also feels lovely. I've had mine for over a year now though (so possibly an earlier version) and my main quibble with it is that it just doesn't seem very hard wearing. I wear it for the commute to work and standing at the size of various sports field on the weekend watching my son. It's by no means falling to bits, but I've returned it once (and to be fair Finisterre were great and sewed up the cuff and a split on one seam) but it has various pulled threads and now a second split. I think it may well be a great performance jacket, but it needs to be saved for those occasions. I wanted a good, hard wearing everyday jacket and it doesn't manage that.

Great jacket, fantastic cut, incredilbly warm and light.
Review by Mark - As soon as put this jacket on I loved it, fitting like the proverbial glove. Unlike many insulated jackets which can make you look like Michelin Man this jacket is unashamedly cut to follow your body's contours, thus aiding and abetting the insulation process. I have used it on my scooter and was very surprised at how warm and windproof it was. It hasn't encountered rain yet but if the other reviews are anything to go by there shouldn't be any problems. Are there any changes I would make to it's design? It's not a deal breaker by any means, but if it could inherit Sastruga's exterior chest zip pocket that would be the icing on the cake...other than that, peerless......

a big hug!

I really struggle to fault this jacket - from races and camping trips, to just keeping warm in the snow, it's just spot on for getting warm and staying warm!
I trapped it in the van door and knackered one of the waist pulls. Fixed by Finisterre and back in the post inside a week, couldn't ask for more.
