le Bowthorpe…
Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 One of our Pioneers James Bowthorpe is going to be going on one of the most amazing trips of his life and one of the most amazing, we’ve probably ever been a part of. The details of the trip, we can’t yet divulge, it will be on foreign soil and we need to make sure that he has everything he needs to make it possible. The trip is so unique, that nothing within our product range was going to be fully suitable, a trip so specific, that it’s requiring... Read More

Get out and ride…
Friday, May 6th, 2011 Just spoke to James Bowthorpe, he’s the kind of guy that does – a ‘doer’. Here at Finisterre, loads of things have been happening – we have to meet product deadlines, put strategies together, we’re in and out of meetings, we have to grow up and they all need to happen, it’s just hard sometimes keeping an eye on growing the business the right way and also holding onto that fly-by-the-seat of your pants approach, that young, not worry... Brisa is ‘Beautiful’!!!
Thursday, May 19th, 2011 First year in the making, new to the Finisterre product stable, we’d like to think the Brisa is yet another addition to what is one of the finest base layer companies in the world. It’s breathable performance, designed for high activity, they don’t smell and we’re not the only ones shouting about it… - Editors choice in 220 Triathlon “slipping it on, it was super soft, the fit was athletic but not overly tight and it wicks sweat away brilliantly.” -... challenge the big dog!
Monday, May 23rd, 2011 Waterproof, the oh-so sacred art of keeping you dry. Companies used to spend money on innovation, proprietary fabrics, the search for better, smarter. From a evolutionary point of view – variations is good, more in the melting pot, more ideas = better and smarter, we evolve. Back in the day, the smaller companies out there, would challenge the big ones, get them to change their conventional ways, go back to improving, tinkering and inventing. But... Read More

24hrs, 420 miles…
Wednesday, June 29th, 2011 on some very smooth running bearings. Words by the much loved – James Bowthorpe and images, but the very gifted Jonny Donovan I felt pretty euphoric, very endorphined up (natural only, getting high on my own supply). Was AMAZING to have so many people there when I finished and throughout- great to have a spin with you guys early on, really set the pace! I’m on the train right now heading out to Winchester, the start of the South Downs Double.... Read More

Thursday, June 30th, 2011 Do you like the BBC? Do you like natural world documentaries? Well we’d like our very own TP, designer and natural historian, to take you on a little walk, he talks about the Kingfisher, its history, it’s rad! Finisterre Kingfisher from Finisterre on Vimeo. The Kingfisger is so rad, that we’re supporting our little love affair with this come back kid, by way of some beautiful prints! Checkout the Kingfisher Sweat Checkout the Kingfisher... Read More
Concrete continued…
Thursday, May 19th, 2011 James Bowthorpe on living like a dude! Eating wise I stick to my own rule, which is basically as follows: Eat like you normally do, balanced diet, normal food – just eat more if you’re training hard and hungry. I’ll occasionally have a mulebar, but getting fit shouldn’t have too much expensive paraphenalia to it, otherwise you use buying that stuff as a crutch/procrastination. You end up with a load of expensive gear and gels, but no fitter... Read More
